"Belanger’s songs are gentle, intimate and spacious, marked by smart, revealing poetics and a lilting vocal prowess." - MidPoint Music Festival
Andrea Belanger thought what any 21 year old musician on their way to play the biggest music festival in the country thinks. "This is it." Unfortunately, the road to rock stardom is much longer than the one from Boston, Massachusetts, to Manchester, Tennessee's Bonnaroo. And, from 2011 to 2013, The Blind Woods, the band Belanger assembled on the eve of the festival, gigged all over the NorthEast, recorded an EP entitled Fight the Fall and even appeared on National Public Radio. The Blind Woods went their separate ways in the Fall of 2013, pursuing different passions and sounds, and Belanger took to the road. Four years wiser, a cross country tour under her belt and 10,000 new miles on her guitar, Belanger is writing smarter lyrics and singing sweeter melodies than ever before. A solo album, and an EP with a full band in tow, Belanger is currently in the studio working on a sophmore full length, due to be released in the Fall of 2014.
